I swam HARD the whole time and it paid off. Over a 3min improvement vs last year. Made sure to sight and take tight lines.

Rode though a good part of the field. Headwinds during one straight away and put some good efforts in to pass and drop people who were cat and mousing. Wanted to put good efforts in throughout the day and focused on putting out good power at “higher” cadence (87-92rpm vs my usual 79-82). Took in about 30 oz of Osmo. Ate about 300 cal. with Bonk Breakers and shot blocks.

Didn’t look on my watch one time and really tried to focus on pushing the intensity and the race progressed. Mile 4 to finish I felt my heart rate was tapped. Took water when thirsty. I still feel as if my run has plateaued. Saw this cool thing on Strava that kinda speak to the longer vision of PPF. 4 years of improvement.
Nutrition: I didn’t really eat too much and I felt it was fine at this distance
I feel pretty good about this race. Huge PR on the same course I did last year, so that is great. This was the first triathlon I ever did, so I really like coming back to measure progress.
